I received a lot of my information about William from the Civil War pension file at the National Archives. Apparently William and his first wife, Eliza Anna Hanniagan, lived out in South Dakota for a while and Eliza died in Brown County, SD on 12 July 1888. Subsequently, William moved back to Pepin County, Wisconsin, where he remarried two times. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
