Either it's an extremely interesting will or else it was contested or something like that, in which case it would be even more interesting. So put the $80+ towards your next vacation and go via Wisconsin!

    2. All I can tell you about Calvin Stewart is that he married Sarah York in 1839 in Troupe Co. GA. I have no information on them other than that and that they moved to Mississippi where their son, Benjamin F. Stewart was born. I have no dates for them, can't find them in the census until 1900 in Missouri where Benjamin's wife, Sarah (Jackson) Stewart is listed as head of house with 6 children. There must have been some big family riff because Benjamin's son, Charles Calvin Monroe Stewart refused to talk about his family at all. It wasn't until he died and his Obit came out that we even learned that he had siblings. Some of his brothers took on the name of Steward. None of them seemed to go by the names in the census according to the Obit but we knew it was the same family because we knew when and where Charles was born. He went by Calvin. Lori

However my genealogy research has indicated my STEWART line came out of Ohio into Massac County. I have however found that at one time or another there must have been three different lines of STEWART's in Massac County. Kenneth R. 3. I have some Stewarts in Tennessee that do not appear to match this group, but the first names Calvin, Monroe, & Benjamin can be found in my line also. Since I have not posted them in a while, thought I'd see if anyone else is researching this group. This line starts with John Kindred Stewart (1815-1888) born N.C. (prob. Montgomery or Moore Co). He came west to McCracken Co KY (1870), then just across the Ohio River to Massac Co. IL (1880), then to Humphreys Co TN where other family members had settled. He had returned back to NC prior to his death. John Kindred Stewart had a son named Calvin Johnson Stewart (1867-1961) born in Montgomery Co NC. Calvin ended up staying in Humphreys Co TN, but also had a lot of ties back to McCracken Co KY. John Kindred Stewart also had a son named Benj. Franklin Stewart. Calvin J.
