Do you know Mahala's maiden name? I have some similar names in my Stewart line. My grandfather John Hiram Stewart was born in Stanton, TN in 1866. John Hiram Stewart's father was the Hamblin listed below from the 1840 Haywood County TN US Census. Hamblin's mother was Malissa but so far we have not been able to determine who her husband may have been. Could you check the list to see if any of the following match up in your Bible? Could the sign-on and sign off information be mailed out again? Thanks.
It would help a LOT if people would better identify the area or time frame they are looking for. Just putting STEWART or Stewart Family as the subject doesn't really help. It would be nice if people would state a subject like :Stewart, KY & TN, or Srewary Family, Nova Scotia; or Stewart 1750-1830 NY That way, people with family in those places and time frames are MUCH more likely to actially read your note. Just a suggestion. Lynton (Bill) Stewart A former Canadian citizen, who lost his Canadian citizenship due to an unjust clause in the 1947 Citizenship Act, that the government refuses to correct. Many Canadian's lost their citizenship because of clauses in that law. The majority of them do not even know that this happened. Canada left children and women stateless under this law, which violated UN Human Rights Treaties, which Canada had ratified.

Edward was born in 1894 and was killed in WWI, 1918. Both of his parents died in 1924 in Cincinnati; Joseph, the father, was 71 and Minnie, the mother, (maiden name was probably Holthaus) was 61. I have no hard data before Joseph although there appears to be a Kentucky connection in the family.
