(William Y. "Buck") was born in MO or KY in 1831 or 1832. According to the family Bible, it was 1831, but internet info says 1832. I do think our family ultimately goes back to Scotland. My dad says rumor has it that one of our ancestors was Mary Queen of Scots.

Sunday, October 3, 1999 The Chronicle-Herald, Halifax, N.S. BLOSSOM MAE STEWART STEWART, Blossom Mae - 92, Hebbs Cross, died October 2, 1999, in South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater. Born in Lower Chelsea, she was a daughter of the late Elijah and Dora Ellen (Knox) Selig. Surviving are sons, Ronald, Hebbs Cross; Roger, Toronto; Arnold, Maple Ridge, B.C.; daughters, Rena Mullins, Italy Cross; Lois Henderson, Italy Cross; Olive Kriese, Abbotsford, B.C.; sister, Marie Corkum, Pleasantville; 20 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, James Eldred; son, Emerson; grandson, Graham; great-granddaughter, Kaylia; nine brothers. Funeral 2:30 p.m. today in Bridgewater Open Bible Church, Rev. Darel Toza officating. Burial to follow in Baker Settlement Cemetery. Immediate family flowers only. Donations to South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater or any charity.
