Paul... My wife's ggggrandfather David Stephens lived near the Quakers in Guilford and Yadkin Counties, North Carolina. It is my belief that Evan Stephens and our David Stephens might have been related. So I have traced thru the Quaker MM notes and followed the lineage in some branches to the 1930 census....Here is our file with all the information we could find...... http://tinyurl.com/njwqr This includes your George Stephens. Again, it would be nice to have a Stephens male from this branch take a DNA test to get a standard marker set to identify other living descendants of Evan Stephens.
