My brickwall is his father John. If anyone has any information on this John, please let me know. They came to western KY from NC. John served in the Revolutionary war and we are pretty sure that he was given land in Western KY for his service. My ancestry is as follows... John born NC, died KY (1745?-1824)/Elijah born NC died KY (1770-1834)/Littleton born KY died MS (1825-1889 (MS)/Dionysius (Nish) born MS, died MS (1868-1953)/James Oscar born MS, died MS (1895-1969), Ernest born MS (1935-still living)/ Ernest Douglas Jr. born MS (1957-still living)

Folks, this is a reminder that any post to a list that starts with the phrase "This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list." has been "gatewayed" from the surname Board to the surname List. Simply, this means that the original post was sent, in this case, to the STEVENS Board and, because the "gateway" between the Board and List has been opened, was also automatically re-sent to the STEVENS List.
