His father was John Stevens born @ 1745 in NC. Elijah was born in 1770 in NC. John Stevens served in the Revolutionary War and was given a warrant. Elijah was married twice. None of his children was James. But, I think that John brought other children with him to KY. I am still looking for more information on John. If I find anything on James, I'll let you know. --Doug Stevens
