I have info for all of them but it gets a bit complicated after 1871 because the children all scattered and settled in different parts of the country. It might be easier to exchange e-mail addresses which would also allow me to give you access to my family tree :) 1841 - Class: HO107; Civil Parish: Corfe Castle; County: Dorset; Enumeration District: 1; Page: 21; Line: 12; GSU roll: 241336 1851 - Class: HO107; Piece: 1856; Folio: 149; Page: 33; GSU roll: 221003. 1861 - Class: RG9; Piece: 1344; Folio: 16; Page: 26; GSU roll: 542798. 1871 - Class: RG10; Piece: 1993; Folio: 13; Page: 19; GSU roll: 830895. I've also since found what I am sure was the marriage of Ellen's parents. James Stevens married Elizabeth Chaffey on 19th October 1926 Corfe castle, Dorset. Ellen's grandparents were also called James and Elizabeth Stevens (occupation: bakers in Swanage) and they appear on the 1841 census as follows - 1841 - Class: HO107; Civil Parish: Swanage; County: Dorset; Enumeration District: 2; Page: 18; Line: 5; GSU roll: 241336. There is a 'one world tree' which looks to be the correct family dating back to the 1600's, but I have not yet had the chance to contact the tree owner to find out any more about them. Jacqueline
