Stevens and Sarah Hackler, was born 15 October 1874 in Texas. On 7 August 1901 he married Addie Belle Sammons in Hunt County; I believe, but have yet to prove, that the informant of the attached certificate is their daughter, Joe, who married V.D. Morris. V.D. Morris may have been Vernon Doyle Morris, but this too is still unproven. Eli Alvin Stevens died 2 August 1954. The cemetery in which he was buried is now called Odd Fellow Cemetery.
