I have a William Stephens: 1. WILLIAM (CK) 2 STEPHENS (HENRY1) was born 1780 1, and died 16 Feb 1857 in Henry, Vermillion Parish, Louisiana. He married RACHEL WELSH (CK) CLARK2 1807 in Opelousas, St.Landry Parish, Louisiana, daughter of MATTHEW CLARK and MARIE ROBERT. She(Rachel) was born 1792 in Opelousas, St.Landry Parish, Louisiana3, and died 3 Mar 1859. My William appears in Louisiana at the beginning of the 1800's and I have nothing on who his parents were. The above Henry Stephens, is the speculation of a cousin. There was a Henry Stephens married to a Roseanne OFerry in Natches in the right time frame to be William's father. I'm wondering if there could be a connection between the Henry Stephens and your Stephens and the Clarks, Coles and Roberts. Do you have anything that could possible help me? Terry Larson
