According to "A Merrill Memorial" by Samuel Merrill, p. 201, Abigail Stevens was the daughter of Thomas and Martha (Bartlett) Stevens of Amesbury. She was born 22 Jan 1673/4 and died 24 May 1757. Her sister, Hannah Stevens, married Nathaniel Merrill, brother of Abel, on 28 July 1709. The vital records for Amesbury have an Abigail Stevens, born Jan. 21 1673 to Thomas and Mary Stevens (on-line at NewEnglandAncestors.org for members) The Newbury vital records have Abigail Merrill, wife of Deacon Abel, d. 2 May 1757, in her 84 year (apparently taken from her gravestone).
