He was born in South Bersted, West Sussex, on 27 July 1827. He was a Master Builder in Eastbourne (East Sussex), was married first to an Ann Harris and later to a Sarah Muttit. His children (all born in Eastbourne) were: Jane, George, Harry, Charlotte, Annie, Isabel, Ernest (my grandfather) and Emma. My grandfather immigrated to South Africa before 1891. I am living in Chippenham in Wiltshire and would love to hear from someone who can fill me in on any of these descendants of Henry Stevens. Look forward in anticipation to a prompt reply.
