My wife's biological father was Homer Stevens who was married to Wealtha Caskey of Carter County, Kentucky. She recently passed away in Ohio and since my wife was adopted we don't know much about the Stevens family. We are just now finding out my wife's father's first name!! Family tradition says that Homer Stevens' (my wife's father) mother was Cherokee which fits your post. We were just wondering if you have found out anymore information.
