Author: scott6672ny Surnames: Stevens Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/surnames.stevens/4129/mb.ashx Message Board Post: I need some opinions on what I have discoverd. 1900 San Juan County Washington census: http://content.ancestry.com/Browse/view.aspx?dbid=7602&path=Washington.San Juan.Lopez.192.8&fn=Ella Lorinda&ln=Stevens&st=r&pid=62221416&rc=&zp=100 Are these the same two as in the 1870 Winnebego County Iowa census: http://content.ancestry.com/Browse/view.aspx?dbid=7163&path=Iowa.Winnebago.Forest.2 These two people match as both were born the same years and same states in both census. My problem is in 1900 census they are listed as head of house and wife and in 1870 they are listed as two female siblings. Any thoughts on how to reconcile this will be greatly appreaciated.
