    3. I am looking for the parents of David Stevens (b. 26 Nov. 1776, d.21 Feb 1847) who arrived in Grafton, Ohio just before 1820, from the Pittsfield, Massachusetts area. His second wife was Hannah Root, dtr of Oliver Root. David's sister Olive Stevens married David Ashley Jr. and preceded David in arriving in Grafton, Medina (now Lorain), Ohio. One possibility has been suggested that Olive Stevens who married David Ashley was the daughter of Parker and Concurrence (Hull) Stevens, however the Richmond vital records clearly state that THAT Olive Stevens died, eliminating the possibility. Living across the road in Grafton was the family of William and Lydia (Stevens) Crittenden -- possibly another sister of David and Olive? William Crittenden's son of the same name was also one of the witnesses to David's will. David's children by his first wife (Keziah Kinney) were Charles (m. Lucinda Jones), Almira (m. John Lines Clark), William (don't know anything about him) and Mary Ann (m. Hiram Bronson). Any help in ascertaining the parentage and siblings of David Stevens would be greatly appreciated.
