According to her death certificate, Nancy Stevens/Stephens Robinson was born Dec. 2, 1857 daug.of William and Edith Bryant Stevens/Stephens, in Whitley County, KY. I have not found a marriage anywhere in KY of William and Edith. Edith has only been found as Edith Slaughter, and Edith Robinson, suggesting that perhaps she and William were not married after all; however, Edith is found in several census' with her son Absolum Stephens, listed as Edith Robinson, widow (of James Robinson). Nancy Stephens married Thomas Robinson (step son of her mother Edith). She is buried (1935) in East Jacksonville Cemetery, Morgan County, Il. Does anyone know anything about this William Stevens/Stephens? Thanks you, Janet Wright
