    1. Re: [STEVENS] Stevens of Ohio- reposting search
    2. David Stevens
    3. Thanks for your post. I have a longshot idea concerning something I read earlier this year. It was about 1815 Oath of Allegiance to the President of the United States of America for a Henry STEVENS that immigrated through New Orleans, LA, from one of the German states. So, just assuming for a moment that Henry's father was Henry born in Indiana and his father was Henry, born in Germany. If you can look into that, I will look into the specific detaills of what you do know about your family. I looked at the copy of the signed document for quite a while because I thought it was very cool and I'd never seen one that old before. I have newspaper obits that say he died in Augusta, Arkansas, on 4 Jul?1905 and was buried in Fitzhugh, Arkansas, but although I have searched?, I have not been able to find out what cemetery he is buried in or find any records there on his death or burial. I am still hoping to find out where he is buried so if you have any clues on that from your database please let me know. ?? > > ? > > Henry was the son of John Wright STEVENS (b. in IN) and Mary NUNCASTER (b. in OH).
