My name is Frances Doherty, My mom was Frances Stevens, her grandparents were James Kimball and Ellen Donnell,my great grandparents. My moms father was William Walter Stevens, and Charles Henry was his brother.I just had my tree done by a woman who is very knowledgeable of genealogy,so I now have a book going back to 1500 in England on the Stevens Family,as you can see our family was very famous,John fought in the Battle of BunkerHill,in Charelestown,Ma where I come from. Also Mary Towne Estey who was hung as a witch along with Rebecca her sister was my Great Grandmother times 8. So your grandaughter and I are related,I am finding many cousins out here, seeing we were one of the first settlers to come to America. What I do find strange is I have no connection to all of my grandfathers siblings, except now Charles.I fail to mention I was born in 1954 so my ! grandparents were deceased, and my mom never really spoke of the family other than her sisters and brothers. As for John Deland I have him as marryied to Judith Upham in 1739,and she was born in Malden,Ma.In 1718,and she was the daughter of James Upham and Dorothy .Elizabeth was born in 1763 as you know, and married John Stevens. My email is Hunnybeezf@aol.com If you are ever in this area with your grandaughter,I would love to meet you and show you around the historical grounds that her ancestors came from. Thankyou for sharing with me,Frances Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
