    3. Hi listers, As a person who loves old photos and hates to see them deteriorate, I must tell you all, that you should have all your oldest and most precious photos scanned at least at 300 dpi and put on a disc and then you can print them from there. Then SHARE them with family and cousins. The more that have copies of them, the better chance they will survive to delight future generations. I've restored my old photos, (I have a Photoshop program) and love doing it. But please make the effort to make digital copies. A fire can wipe them all out so quickly. Terry in Minnesota. 3. I agree. I had a small disaster of my own several years ago. I was lucky enough to have shared things with others and they were wonderful enough to find many of those things we had shared and forward them back to me. Share a lot - keep a backup disk outside the house, and back up often. If you look for it, you will find that the life expectancy of our disks is not as long as we would hope. Patti >From: "Terry A. 3. Hi List, I have been working on my genealogy for 25 plus years and nothing made me so happy as to find this precious old portrate!!! I can't put it into words. It's large for sure and I have not measured it yet. It was in my uncles attic for 60 years!!! Imagine. You can bet I am getting intouch will all who would love to have a copy of this. I hope I can do this right. I just worry because it has not seen daylight for 60years. Brenda J.
