Stevens on the list of Death Notices: Members of Fraternal Orders. He died 15 December 1880, and was a member of the AOUW Lodge no. 61 in Mound Valley, Kansas. This person could well be my husband's great-grandfather, R.J. Stevens, born about 1845 in Maine, who resided in and was a census-taker in Mound Valley in the 1880 census. We know R.J. died prior to the 1900 census, as his wife Sarah was listed as Widow in the 1900 census. I have been searching very unsuccessfully to find any further information on him, and am wondering if Reignold J. is, in fact, our missing R.J.
