Richard was born in 1802 and married Sarah Rason at St Pancras Old Church in London on 25 May 1828. Richard took his family to New Zealand on the Royal Albert in 1853. There is now a huge family lineage descending from Richard Stevens through his grandson Edward J Stevens. Any information on Richard's family in England would be much appreciated. I believe his parents were George Stevens of Eastbourne, Sussex and Charlotte Sargeant.
