I am hunting for info on Lewis Stevens-b. 1769 in Duplin Co NC and died 1843 in Greene Co AL. He married a widow Martha Patterson. I do not have a maiden name for her. Lewis appears in 1824-29 Orphan court records for Greene Co.. i think I have found a second marriage to Mary Watkins in 1838. Lewis' father is believed to be William Stevens b. 1745 in Duplin Co. NC and d. 1815 Williamson TN. married to Elizabeth?. Is anyone else working on this line or able to give me direction for investigation? Thanks, Marge Crews
