The land grant was Love Point. They were boat builders. An estate was left in England, where two of the brothers returned to settle the estate. They did not return to Maryland. My ancestor's name was JOHN TOPHAM STEVENS. For unknown reasons, he left Kent Island and landed in Rock Hall, Md. The land grant date was 1665. We have remained in the area since that time.
