My family believes that what you say is true. This is the information that my great aunt Lala (now passed away) gave me. But, we have no documentation. Do you have documentation showing Elijah's father's name? and any information about his first wife? BTW, do you live in TX or KY? I am originally from MS, but now I live in CA. I have had a DNA test that showed I am related to descendants of Emmanuel Stevens now living in TX. Interestingly enough, Emmanuel lived in the Charlotte NC, (northern SC) area at the same time as Elijah. The DNA test also showed that I am related to a Jonathan Stevens who lived in CN in the mid 1600s. This means that either, the three of us (descendants of Emmanual, Jonathan, and Elijah) were descendant from the first member of the family to come to America, or we are all descendant of someone who lived in England before they came to America.
