I am descended through two of Elijah's son's from his first wife, Edward M. Stevens (b. c1791 SC - d. after 1850 Caldwell County, KY) who married Sophia Ann Stromat and William Stevens (b. c1793 SC - d. 1866 Caldwell County, KY) who married Emeranda Calhoon. Elijah Stevens and his first wife shows up in Kentucky about 1798 when Elijah purchased 200 acres of land in Christian County, Kentucky on 21 Dec. 1798 on the North Fork of Eddy Creek. Elijah purchased another 200 acres of land in Christian County, Kentucky 4 March 1799 on Flynns Fork Tradewater. Elijah's father John Stevens died in 1813 in Caldwell County, Kentucky without a will and Elijah Stevens was appointed Administrator of John's estate.
