Unfortunately he died in Godalming in 1839... If he had lived just a little longer his place of birth would have been officially recorded by the first Census in 1841. We know he was buried in the Churchyard of St Peter and St Paul, on the 26th July 1839 age abt 49 years. Here the Vicar of Godalming wrote "of Brook, Witley" into the burial record adjacent to his name. We really need confirmation of whether he is listed in the Witley Parish register of births around 1790 and the names of his parents... we are at a complete block and will welcome any assistance.
