Looking for ANY information on William STEVENS/STEPHENS b circa 1800 in VT or NY. He married Nancy ANDERSON b TN and according to census info their first two sons - Daniel - b 1826 and Thomas b. 1828 were b in TN. William was in Fayette Co. IL in 1830. They had 2 more children Henry and Martha b in 1833. By 1835 William Stevens and his family were in Jasper Co. IL. They lived in Jasper Co. IL, where they had several more children - William Jr., John, Lewis, and Sarah and they moved to Logan Co. IL circa 1848. Nancy died in 1852, William STEVENS/STEPHENS moved on to another state (Topeka, KS, or Indiana) where he married again and died between 1854 and 1860.
