    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Author: Rekput Surnames: Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/surnames.stevens/4218.4/mb.ashx Message Board Post: My apologies....I decided to check out some data on the LDS website and according the the files there, the Ida Stevens who was the daughter of Eliakum and Rachel was born in August and can not be your Ida. However, I found the parents of the Ida Mae Stevens who was living with grandparents in 1880 in Barron Co. She was the daughter of Charlotte (aka Lotte) Ricerd and Lucius Stevens. Charlotte was born in MI and Lucious was born in VT which matches up perfectly with what your Ida Mae gave for her parents' place of birth in 1900. I checked again with the LDS and found a file on this family which you will want to check out. http://www.familysearch.org/Eng/Search/frameset_search.asp Again...I apologize for steering you wrong on her parents the first time...just was trying to get what I had typed into a note to you and didn't take time to confirm some things. The above LDS website, shows your Ida Mae as the wife of Myron Hinman and the daughter of Charlotte and Lucious, so this time it's the real deal. Note that his wife's name had changed from Rachel to Betsey, so possibly the older kids left the household when the new mother showed up. Note also: Barron Co, WI is adjacent to St Croix Co, where Ida's future husband was living in 1880 and before, and also where Myron and Ida were living in 1900, so that gave her ample opportunity to meet up with Myron Hinman. Author: Rekput Surnames: Stevens, Rickard, Rickerd, Riccard Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/surnames.stevens/4218.2/mb.ashx Message Board Post: I did some research for you on your Ida May Stevens and believe I have found her parents and sibblings as well as some grandparents. I have to work right now but will try to post again before the weekend with all the info I found for you. For now, I believe her parents to be Eliakum and Rachel Stevens. They had a daughter in the household named Ida and of the right age. That girl disappears in the 1880 census of their household, but another Ida Stevens shows up half way across the state in the houseshold of her grandparents (George Rickard and wife Catherine) in a county adjoining the one where your Ida's husband is living with his family. George's wife, Catherine, is probably a 2nd wife and not the mother of Ida's mother. Because of the places of birth, I'm pretty sure that this is the right girl. I promise to send what I found to you soon, but just can't type it all in right now because of work. I have somne deadlines in the next couple days. But, if I can squeeze! it in, I will because I know how much fun it is to get this stuff. Julie Bissell Tupker Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
