Folks, this is a reminder that any post to a list that starts with the phrase "This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list." has been "gatewayed" from the surname Board to the surname List. Simply, this means that the original post was sent, in this case, to the STEVENS Board and, because the "gateway" between the Board and List has been opened, was also automatically re-sent to the STEVENS List. BUT, this means that unless the original Board poster is also a member of the List (and most are not), any replies to a gatewayed post sent to the List will NOT be seen by the Board poster. If you wish to reply to a gatewayed post in such a way that your reply will be seen by the Board poster, you must do so by clicking on the "Message Board URL:" link, and reply using the Board response system. Thanks. Peter STEVENS List Admin. Nikoli A. McCracken wrote: >I have Rutledge ancestors. Stevens family from New Jersey that ran the textile mills. My father's step-sister married J.P. Stevens III I believe. He would have been born around 1920 I'm thinking. Her name was Sally Potter, and her father was Russell Hayward Potter Jr. b:1895 in Buffalo, NY. She may have been born in Massachusetts As far as I can tell his name would be John Peters Stevens, his father is John Peters Stevens Jr. b: 1897 in NJ brother to Robert Ten Broeck Stevens b: 7/1899, and brother to Nathaniel b:1900 NJ. Their father was John Peters Stevens Sr. b: 2/2/1868 m. to Edna Ten Broeck 7/17/1875. I think Sally and Mr. Stevens had twins. Thanks!
