    1. Re: [STEVENS] Stevens Cincinnati, Ohio
    2. What is your connection on the Schott to the Stevens line? In my own Stevens line from OH I have a Stevens inlaws (Nuncaster) who had a John Stotz/Stotts living with them in the 1840 through 1860. I have not been able to figure out the relationship but I suspect that he was a grandson or a nephew. -----Original Message----- From: TTCarverFL@aol.com To: stevens@rootsweb.com Sent: Thu, 12 Oct 2006 5:44 AM Subject: [STEVENS] Stevens Cincinnati, Ohio Greetings all: 1850 Census Ohio, Hamilton County, Cincinnati. 2. Lowe DNA
    3. Paul... My wife's ggggrandfather David Stephens lived near the Quakers in Guilford and Yadkin Counties, North Carolina. It is my belief that Evan Stephens and our David Stephens might have been related. So I have traced thru the Quaker MM notes and followed the lineage in some branches to the 1930 census....Here is our file with all the information we could find...... http://tinyurl.com/njwqr This includes your George Stephens. Again, it would be nice to have a Stephens male from this branch take a DNA test to get a standard marker set to identify other living descendants of Evan Stephens. 2. Scott, Brenda
    3. My earliest Stephens was John Alexander Stephens born 12/21/1= 811 in=20 Leesburg in Loudoun County, Va. He married Roxanna or Roseanna Burgess in 1839 in Loundoun County, Va. John died in Leesburg Va in 1872. John and Roxanna had several children; 1. John W. Stephens/Stevens who married three times, 1. Sarah Elizabeth Ault/Alt, 2. Miss Lillian Louise Bouic, from the Montgomery co, Md family 3. Miss L. Claggett. John W. was born i842 in Loudoun, Va and died 1923 Montgomery County, Md. The second son was James A. Stephens/Stevens born 1840's Loudoun Va, and died Montgomery county, Md in 1940's. He married twice, first to a Miss Lowe from loudoun, second to a Miss Ford from Montgomery Co, Md. Several of his children moved toCleveland Ohio, one of which was a Charlie Stephens who married miss Pflaum from either Ohio or Ill. Another son of John Alexander was Thomas Lee Mason Stephens/Stevens whomarried twicw, first Miss Myers from Loudoun, Co, Va and second ? and lived in and died in Loudou= Co, Va. A daughter of John Sr. was Mary Catherine who married Elisha Gregg of possible Quaker ancestry in Loudoun Co, Va. They later moved to Olney, Md where a road is name Gregg Rd in Montgomery co. Other children include Martha A. E. Stephens who died at age 10, daughter Catherine, son Columbus T. and another possibility is a Robert T. Stephens who lived Montgomery co. Md. Another daughter (?) is Fanny Stephens. There are several possibilities for the parents of John Alexander Stephens There was a William Stephens who married Cintha/Sinthy Claggett in Loudoun Co, Va late 1790's. there is a Ephraim Stephens from Fauquier County, Va. Also trying to find if Roxanna was a Burgess or an Ault as the death certificate of her son john W. states her maiden name was Ault, but her marriage bond and witness was mother Margaret Burgess. Would love to exchange information with any Stephens from the Loudoun and fauquier counties in Va and Montgomery and Frederick counties in Md. Names attached to my Stephens/Stevens are Ault/Alt, Burgess, Bouic Clag(g)et(t), Myers, Lowe, Down(e)s, Smallwood, Hull, Shackelford, Shackleford, Rabbitt Sigafoose, and many more. look foward to any hints or corrections. Best Regards, Brenda Stevens Scott
