Mary Isabella McClure 1867 in Miller Co., MO. Everyone seemed to move around a lot even then. I don't see the name Austin in that line either. Sorry. His death certificate names his father as Will Thomas. I found 1900 census with William-widower age 54, Maudie-daughter age 23, Austin-son age 14, Dallie- daughter age 12, twins sons Jessie and Wessie-age 9. Dallie has been called Della in my family. I've always heard that Austin's mother died when he was young and was raised by his sister Maude. Don't know anything about the mother. Maybe died in childbirth with the twins? I have an uncle who told me these names before I found the census so I'm sure this is my family. I expect that there were more children. Census shows all being born in MO. I'm at a stand still. I found a 1880 census in Dade Co. MO. with William and wife Catherine and 8 children including a Maudy but since it was before my grandfather I have no way of knowing. Any info will be greatly appreciated. I don't know where else to turn on this dead end. Thanks, Jo-Ann Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. Hi List, I am looking to connect with distance cousins and family of Claggett and Edward Stevens/Stephens who were born in Maryland in the early 1900's to a father of John Stephens and a mother of Mary Claggett. They were golf pro's in the DC metro area and traveled all around the country. I have a picture of their dad. The two men in question are deceased. Would love to share what I have acquired. ------------------------------- To unsubscribe from the list, please send an email to STEVENS-request@rootsweb.com with the word 'unsubscribe' without the quotes in the subject and the body of the message

I also was able to get some good pictures using a digital camera and exercising the Sam's club do-it-yourself equipment. Hi listers, As a person who loves old photos and hates to see them deteriorate, I must tell you all, that you should have all your oldest and most precious photos scanned at least at 300 dpi and put on a disc and then you can print them from there. Then SHARE them with family and cousins. The more that have copies of them, the better chance they will survive to delight future generations. I've restored my old photos, (I have a Photoshop program) and love doing it. But please make the effort to make digital copies. A fire can wipe them all out so quickly. Terry in Minnesota. J. Stevens, born in Maine around 1846. I can't locate any connection to his family. Am hoping there is someone out there who is related to this family, or who has some information on them. R. J. is my husband's g-grandfather. On R.J.'s daughter Myrtle's SSI Death Index, it lists her mother's maiden name as Corn. R.J.'s daughter Mary Margaret, born 1876 in Mound Valley, Kansas, married Isaac Hamilton Rucker. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
