    3. Jerry, My Stearns are descended from Isaac Stearns of Watertown, Mass who arrived from England in 1630 with the Winthrop Fleet. Yours appear to be of a different family, presumably German. And/Or. Rosena/Rosina/Rosa/Rose Stuner - Stunner Birth place Alsace/Lorraine circa 1815. They immigrated to the USA between 1847 and 1853. I have yet to find them in any ship registry. They settled in the borough of Honesdale in the county Wayne in the state of Pennsylvania. The first record I find is in the 1860 Pennsylvania census, and later in the Illinois census. But to my dismay I have been unable to trace them to their point of origin. Any assistance would be highly appreciated. ------------------------------- To unsubscribe from the list, please send an email to STEARNS-request@rootsweb.com with the word 'unsubscribe' without the quotes in the subject and the body of the message
