Hi Derek, Thanks for the kind words. Everybody on the list seems very well behaved - don't think it will take much to keep everyone in line, ha ha. Dave Miller's Stephens line - which as I said before I believe is also mine, though I can't tie into it yet - came from Bristol in the early 18th century, and were from Toddington before that according to Dave's research. I know that is some little distance from Cornwall and yet can't help but wonder if there is a link between the families further back. More unprovable speculation on my part! Good luck on finding your American Stephens relatives. I think you've done really well to find out as much about them as you have. Know how you feel though, and so would Dave, in that it seems on some lines you're the only person on earth interested. Perhaps someday, out of the blue, you'll get an email from one of those Wisconsin relatives - sure hope so anyway. Thanks again. Len
