Woody, thanks for your reply- have no names for the N.C. family- that is my problem-My John S. married a Rutha Jane Halliday in 1832 and I feel that the Stephens/ Halliday families came to Ga. about the same time to Ga. if not together- I see Halliday/ Stephens in 1805 and can ID the Hallidays as this is before ny John S. was born, I can't ID the Stephens'. thanks for the suggestions!!
