    3. Hello, Welcome to the new Stephens list owner. I thought I'd give an account of my Stephen's group. I descend from a George Stephens, who we believe was born in N.C., in the 1850's. He was in Jasper Co. Ga., and died there in 1824. He was married to a Jane Danielly. She died in 1826 in Jasper Co. Ga. I then descend from their son, Stephen Stephens, who is believed was born in Craven or Jones Co. N.C. in 1773. He was married to a Mary Barrow or Barron. They were in Jasper Co. Ga. also, and ended up in Heard Co. Ga. He died in Heard Co. Ga., in the 1850's. I then descend from their son Alsey Stephens. He migrated on over to Randolph Co. Al. He was married to Priscilla Ozier. Then it goes to Jefferson Davis Stephens in Randolph Co. Al., who was married to Mary Frances "Mollie" Malone. They both died in Randolph Co. Al. She is buried at Pleasant Hill Methodist church in Wadley Al., and he is buried in the City cemetery in Wadley, Al. Next is their son, Benjamin Edgar Stephens, who was married to Emily Leola Ward. They are also buried in Randolph Co. Al., in Cedarwood Cemetery in Roanoke, Al. Then my mother, Frances Stephens, born July 15, 1918, and was married to Frank O. Carden. They are also both buried in the Cedarwood cemetery in Roanoke, Al. Then myself, Rebecca Elaine Carden. Some feel, the George Stephen's father, could be a Shadrack Stephens, but haven't been able to find concrete evidence of that. Becky Carden
