I believe it was Harold Stephens that stated his Stephens were in Green Co., Georgia? Am I correct Harold ? The reason I ask: In trying to find parents and siblings of my Dew STEPHENS I have also been trying to trace Reddick P. Stevens/Stephens b. 1806 SC. He followed a similar path of my Dew Stephens with the exception of Alabama, and both appear on the Ashley Co., Ark. census of 1860. Reddick P. Stephens time line: 1830 Green Co., GA. > 1840 Carroll Co., MS.> Attala Co., MS. >1860 Ashley Co., AR Dew Stephens time line: 1830 Montgomery Co., AL.>1840 Lowndes Co., AL.> 1850 Rankin Co., AL.>1860 Ashley Co., AR. Note* Dew Stephens married Jane/Jincey HARDY in Montgomery Co., AL. The Hardy family is from Edgefield Co., SC. and were also in Montgomery & Lowndes Co., AL. which could be the difference. I do not know where Reddick P. Stephens wife, Trecie WADE is from other than SC as is also Reddick P. Stephens himself. So if anyone knows anything about Reddick P.
