I don't remember if I have posted this query but hope some-one catches it and knows some of the names and facts. Little River Co., Arkansas: These Stephens are listed with step-father's surname, ( JEAN(S) ) in 1880. Enoch b. 1868, William b. 1868 (probably more a 1869 thru 1872 DOB instead), John b. 1873 and Allen b. 1875. Earlier last fall I queried for a Sales STEPHENS b. 1875/1878 on several occassions. .I have since proven Sales Stephens as the brother to my Enoch STEPHENS through a marriage record . Sales STEPHENS is actually J. A. STEPHENS who married Martha DICKENS in 1895. By 1900 Martha died and he remarried to a Lillie Brownfield. Is John and Allen one in same person and accidently was enumerated as two? Does J. stand for John or James? Marriage records of that era also show: S. Stevens to Mittie Ludlow 1889 Richard Stephens to Lucy Marks 1900 Willie Stephens to Sallie Hambleton 1890 Ben Stephens to Lizzie Blanchard 1904 I have had no luck finding these Stephens on the census. Some information from another researcher shows a sibling of Enoch's as " Bud STEPHENS". No other information. Could Bud actually be Ben? There are also two half brothers of these Stephens sibligs I seek, Sam W. JEANS and John R. JEANS. I have written letters to descendants of Sam W. Jeans with no response. Would really appreciate any help if anyone recognizes any of these names and can shed some light on this family.This Enoch Stephens is the grandson of Dew Stephens I also seek information on.
