I am very curious about the name "Ransom" STEPHENS. I have STEPHENS family in New York with a son Ransome b. ca. 1788. His father was William M. (birth and death date unknown) and his mother was named Elizabeth Gage. Parents of William M. were Archibald b. 1760 d. 1836 and Rachel MOTT b. 1768 d. 1857.
