Hi List ; In trying to find my E.A. STEPHENS I have undertaken the task of looking for him on the 1870 census in Texas , Arkansas and Louisiana . Previous information said he was born in Louisiana . Either his family moved before 1870 or he was not born there . So on to Arkansas and Texas . After that , I'm at a loss . I have completed looking and recorded every STEPHENS/STEVENS in Louisiana in 1870 . A lot of these were not head of house hold and I only recorded the surname I was researching , but if anyone would like me to look up either form of spelling in 1870 Louisiana , I'll be happy to do so . I have also completed all the STEPHENS in 1870 Arkansas and now working on the STEVENS . Will be glad to look up STEPHENS for now in 1870 Arkansas . I also found an Enoch STEPHENSON b. 1868 NJ s/o Ezekiel and Mary J. STEPHENSON . The parents of Ezekiel STEPHENSON were also born in NJand he was a sawyer in a mill ; and E.A. STEVENSON b. 1868 NY s/o J.H. and H. STEVENSON . J.H. STEVNSON was a Navy Officer and his parents were born in Ireland . If anyone might know anything about Enoch STEPHENSON and E.A. Hi Phyllis..... Can you tell us a little more about your E A STEPHENS...... Like his parents names and his approx Birth Date...... I assume that you don't know what the E A stands for......... Have you located him in the 1880 Census...... If so where, etc........
