I have many, many Stephens in my family in Texas -- they came west to the Longview, Kilgore, & Johnson City areas in the late 1880's. Upshur, Gregg, Dallas and other counties also have many of my Stephens living there during the years you mention. Don't know if any of them are yours. Cathy
