Thanks for leading to the DNA site. I found it very interesting. I suspect my great-great grandfather, Garrett Stephens might fit into the R1b group. He was born Abt 1805 in NC. That is all I know and do not have contact with any males from that side of the family. Does anyone find Garrett or Jarrett in their tree? He is found in Benton Co. AR on the 1850 Census with wife, Lucinda and children. By 1860 he is found with wife Julia and some of the same children plus some from his second marriage. They are also found in Denton Co. TX in 1870 and Palo Pinto Co. TX in 1880. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Pat
