Hello List My Stephens/Stevens family are first traceable to Loudoun County, Va with a John Alexander Stephens born 1811, possibly in Leesburg. He married 1839 and I am not certain if he had a prior marriage as this seems a bit late for a first marriage(?) to Ms. Burgess. Names that are associated to him thru his children are; Lowe, Claggett, Myers, Gregg, Turner, Ryon, Ryan, Bouic, Ford, Hull, Smallwood, to name but a few. I have often wondered if they strayed into Washington, DC, Washington County, Md, Frederick County, Md and Jefferson County, Wva.
