Hi william: Priscilla Stephens was a successful drawer in 1821 land lottery.Listed as orphans were her children: Cassa,Inmon(or Inman),James,John,John,(no initials),William,William B,and Thomas. Priscilla lived in the Household of Inman , in the 1830,1840,& 1850 census in Upson Co., Inman and wife Susannah died abt 1854 in Taylor Co,and I have to assume Priscilla did also,as I can find no further record. Your migration scenario is much like my Dad"s,but have not been able to authenticate,due to the fact that I cannot document a suitable husband for Priscilla. I also cannot locate the grave sites for Inman,Susannah (m.1825,Upson Co,Ga),or Priscilla,dob ca 1775,based on 1850 census. Might we connect? Inman's six sons(Schley Co Rifles& Crawford Co Greys,Jackson Guards) were all Civil War Casualties.. Car. and John was to have stayed in Ga. Have records of Jefferson/ Burke Cos. , Ga. dated 1805 and there are a lot of Stephens there but can't ID them. There are several other known family surnames that can ID there.There is one record in Houston Co., Ga. that a John S. Stephens was a JP.
