I am at a brick wall with my John S. Stephens, b. 1806 in what is now Dooly Co., Ga. In the book' Early Records of Jeffferson and Burke Cos., Ga.' I see a lot of Stephens and some spelled with a 'v'- also in this book, I see a lot of other family surnames which I can ID, not the Stephens name. Help!! also in Barbour Co., Al., I have John Martin Stephens b. 1853- any info as to subblings or parents. My stephens clan was to have come out of N.C. as did the other surnames in Jefferson/ Burke Cos. info. Harold Stephens
