    1. [STEPHENS] Roll call!
    2. Hey everybody, I've seen this used on other mailing lists and though it makes me feel like a schoolteacher bringing his class to order thought it would be a good idea if those on the mailing list (especially those who haven't posted their family information before or haven't done it in quite a while) would send a brief note to the list on their research needs. Send us an email at _stephens@rootsweb.com_ (mailto:stephens@rootsweb.com) and include as much specific information (names, dates, places) as you have. Remember the subject line should be specific too, so that those who are interested in your particular family will click on it once it's in the archives. Thanks, everybody. Hope we hear from a lot of you! Len

    1. [STEPHENS] Roll call - Joseph James STEPHENS b Boston in 1847
    2. Darls
    3. Hi all After being a member of this list for about 5 years - I can finally post my interests correctly. I have been looking for the above person in England all these years and I have just found out hat he was born in Boston USA -( I wasn't even close - lol) Ok - this is what I have Joseph James Stephens b abt 1847 parents names listed on his death certificate were George Nathaniel Stephens and Jane Wragge. I have NEVER been able to find out any details on his parents at all, so fingers crossed this time! Joseph James Stephens arrived in Australia on 4th July 1863 via London on the ship Alexandra which docked in Melbourne - hence where he married a Scottish lass and had 6 children. I hope one of you have his parents in your family tree - if so I would be more than happy to hear from you as he was my gggrandfather. Kindest regards Darlene in Australia

    1. [STEPHENS] Help for finding your line - Abednego, Richard, Samuel, Thomas, William, Benjamin
    2. David G. Miller
    3. If you are stuck on your line and have these recurring names in your line, you should check with the Stephens administrator because these names were used over and over in his line. He may be able to help you make the connection. Between his data and mine, we may be able to bring you into the fold. Dave Miller
