My Stephens line , as told in family story: A John and Henry came to the colony with Oglethorpe. Have found no proof of this.In 1880 census, my John S. said his parents were born in N.C.(no names). I see a lot of nown family in Jefferson/ Burke Cos., Ga. (1805)- can't ID the Stephens= John S. born April 28, 1806 in what is now dooly Co., Ga.
