Hello, My Stephens begin with Rebecca Jane Stephens b. 1828 in Maryland. Her death certificate lists her parents as J. Stephens and Margaret Morton. I don't believe she was married in the 1850 census and is possibly listed with a John F. Stephens in Cecil County, MD. I am also interested in anything about this John F. Stephens as a possible link.
