I am trying to prove Drury A. Stephens as my Uncle and the son of John A. Stephens of Mississippi. Is the Drury A. Stevens the same Drury and is he also the same Drury b. 1829/30 on the 1860 Union Co., AR. census in house hold of Reddick P. Stevens? There is also a Felix Stevens that also served in same outfit. I am looking for any information on Andrew Jackson STEPHENS or STEVENS married to Louise ?? I know they had a daughter named Myrtle Lee Stephens who was born September 25 1934 and died January 30 1979. Also had daughters name Rose Nell and Wilma. And at least one son named Willie. In 1900-1910-1920 is also listed a Sales STEPHENS born 1879 living next door to the JEAN(S) mother.(I cannot find him in 1880) under this name. The Inman Steephens family were last reported(as a family) on the Upson census ,1850.Also,reported on the census is a female,Priscilla,age 75.'giving a dob ca.1775 I have tried to connect Priscilla to the family as being Inman's mother,no such luck yet. Research of Ga. marriages thru 1850,by counties,does notshow aNY Stephens marrying a Priscilla. That is reason for looking to either SC or NC for Inman's predecessors.The name Inman seems to be unusual,and there is a town in SC by the name of Inman. The only road I can find on my Ga. map is State road 112,going S. from Toomsboro. Possily an inquiry in the townmight yield an answer,re Mackey Cemetery. I believe that the Franklin STEPHAN's listed in the LDS 1880 Census is your William Frank STEPHENS....... I also have the 1910 Kentucky Miracode index and have tried various given names and nothing seems to come up......
