John came to america circa 1849-51 with his parents and several relatives. he was a dentist. many of his decendants became dentists as well. I am trying to gather more information on my ancestors, as of this year, I can confirm that Johannes Stephan,birth est. 1734 as the great grandfather of John Stephan(Dr. John Stephan,1848-1890 dentist) Johannes had 2 brothers, Johann Gerhard and Johann Martin. If you think you might be related to the stephan's who came to cleveland circa 1850 from germany, please respond, and lets share info, etc. - - Robert M.
