My mom has quite a lot of information on him and his family. He was quite a hero in Hinckley, MN where he practiced medicine. His father was Daniel Stephan who came to this country from Germany when about age 15. He was involved in real estate, politics, and banking. He was a justice of the peace in Cleveland, OH, where the family lived for many years. Daniel was married twice (his first wife Elizabetha died leaving him with three young children). He married Mercy Twitchell and they had nine more children. If you would like more information, let me know. I'll fill in as much as possible but may need to contact my mom.
